Machine Gun Kelly publicly responded to speculation regarding a relationship with Sydney Sweeney.
During his appearance on the Sunday, August 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, MGK, whose actual name is Colson Baker, was directly asked about his connection with Sweeney, 27.
Andy Cohen, aged 57, read a question from a viewer named "Kyle P." The host asked, “MGK, Kyle P wants to find out if there's any validity to the gossip that you and Sydney Sweeney share more than a friendship.”
With a shake of his head and a direct gaze into the camera, MGK, 35, replied, “Kyle P, shut up, dude,” eliciting loud laughter from Andy Cohen and the audience.
In May, images released by Page Six displayed the musician and Sweeney embracing at a nightclub opening in Las Vegas. Later that month, MGK posted an Instagram carousel that featured a photo of him alongside Sweeney, both of them flashing peace signs. The picture also included actor Patrick Schwarzenegger and Hollywood hairstylist Glen Oropeza.
Additionally, Sweeney shared an Instagram Story at that time, which included a picture of herself posing with Schwarzenegger, 31, and MGK at the Las Vegas event.
Currently, both MGK and Sweeney are single, following MGK's confirmed split from Megan Fox, reported by Us Weekly in December 2024, and Sweeney's engagement to Jonathan Davino being called off in May. (MGK has a daughter named Saga, who is 4 months old, with Fox, 39, and a daughter named Casie, 16, with ex-partner Emma Cannon.)
MGK and Sweeney have maintained a friendship for several years, with Sweeney appearing in MGK's directorial debut, Downfalls High, in 2021. The duo also starred together in the 2019 film Big Time Adolescence alongside MGK's close friend Pete Davidson.
During his time on WWHL, an audience member inquired about MGK's dream musical collaboration, living or deceased, to which he responded, “I like Frank, man, Frank Sinatra. I’ll go with that.”
Cohen also questioned him about the topic of age, which prompted an intriguing reply from MGK: “It’s a strange concept, dude, I’m not sure if it’s real.”
Suggesting he might have other dimensions to his existence, MGK mentioned that he once asked his mother if there was a time when she went missing, which led to an unexpected response.
“She told me she got abducted at one point, so I was just, like,” MGK shared with a shrug.
