Justin Timberlake is back home and feeling upbeat after wrapping up his world tour last week.

On Monday, August 4, the 44-year-old Timberlake posted on his Instagram Stories, sharing a cheerful photo of himself grinning and playfully sticking out his tongue. He was dressed in a gray sweatshirt that read: “I’m not doing s*** today. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.” Along with the post, he included three check mark emojis.

Just a few days earlier, Timberlake had concluded his two-year Forget Tomorrow World Tour and disclosed that he had been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, a condition resulting from Borrelia bacteria that leads to body pain and muscle weakness, among other issues.

“As many of you know, I prefer to keep my life private,” he shared through Instagram on Thursday, July 31. “However, as I look back on the tour and the festival circuit — I want to share a bit about what I’ve been facing. Among other challenges, I’ve been dealing with some health struggles and received a diagnosis of Lyme disease — which I mention not to gain your sympathy –– but to provide insight into my experiences behind the scenes.”

Timberlake added, “If you’ve dealt with this condition or know someone who has, then you understand: living with it can be persistently exhausting, both mentally and physically. When I first received the news, I was definitely taken aback. But it finally made sense why I would be on stage experiencing extreme nerve pain or feeling overwhelming fatigue or illness.”

He explained that he had to choose between halting his tour or "continuing and figuring things out." He opted for the latter, stating, “I chose to follow the joy that performing brings me, which far exceeded the temporary discomfort my body was going through. I’m truly glad I pushed through.”

He ultimately gave his last performance of the tour in Istanbul on July 30.

Kirkpatrick, 53, reflected on this experience on July 31, writing, “I’ve always believed in my little brother’s toughness — but this tour revealed an entirely new level of strength.” He mentioned, “Witnessing his daily battle with Lyme disease while still stepping onto the stage night after night was an unforgettable experience.”

He further expressed, “The long hours, constant travel, and sheer exhaustion — yet, he never backed down. No complaints, no excuses — just sheer heart, grit, and unwavering determination. That kind of resilience is truly exceptional.”

Kirkpatrick contemplated that “life is tough enough, but tackling it while battling Lyme disease? That's a superhero feat. Cheers to strength, perseverance, and an incredible tour. Love you, little bro!”
