Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s new romantic relationship has garnered enthusiastic approval from Jamie Lee Curtis, Anderson’s co-star in The Last Showgirl!
During a recent interview with VT, Curtis, 66, became emotional as she expressed her thoughts on the relationship between the stars of The Naked Gun, which Us Weekly reported on Tuesday, July 29.
“If love has blossomed in that relationship, blessings to them both!” stated the Freaky Friday actress in a segment shared on TikTok on Monday, August 4. “Just let them be and enjoy each other!”
“They have both faced struggles in life, and they're both truly wonderful humans... it brings tears to my eyes,” Curtis continued, her voice trembling slightly.
The actress remarked, “They are remarkable individuals. If they have truly discovered a romantic connection, we should all lay our heads down tonight feeling more hopeful.”
Curtis praised Anderson, 58, as a “wonderful person,” reflecting on their collaboration in the award season favorite The Last Showgirl, which saw Anderson receive a Golden Globe nomination for best actress earlier this year.
“She was incredible, but above all, she is a remarkable person,” reiterated the Halloween star.
“And he, he has endured unimaginable loss at a young age,” she noted, referencing Neeson, 73, who lost his wife, actress Natasha Richardson, in 2009 due to a skiing accident in Canada.
Curtis emphasized, “He has faced significant hardships. So, if they are truly embracing this relationship publicly, we should wish them well and allow them their privacy.”
A source confirmed to Us last week that Anderson and Neeson are indeed dating after forming a connection on the set of their latest comedic film, The Naked Gun.
“Pamela and Liam are in a relationship,” the source revealed, adding that “there was always a spark while they were filming, and their friendship naturally evolved into something deeper.”
The insider conveyed that the new couple is still “figuring out how to handle” their developing romance amid public scrutiny. “Both are reserved and prefer to keep things private, but the chemistry between them is undeniable,” the source clarified.
Anderson's sons, Brandon, 29, and Dylan Lee, 27, fully support their mother's new relationship, as mentioned by the source. They “are thrilled to see her happy and wholeheartedly approve,” the insider indicated, also sharing that they “think Liam is wonderful and have been getting to know him better over the past few months.” (Anderson shares her sons with her former husband, rocker Tommy Lee.)
