Kelly Stafford shared her personal ties to the Kelce brothers.

During her appearance on the "Sunday Sports Club" podcast episode on August 31, hosted by Allison Kuch, Kelly, who is 36, was presented with a series of rapid-fire questions. Among them was a question about her preference between Travis Kelce, 35, and Jason Kelce, 37, versus Peyton and Cooper Manning.

“I’m going to pick the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis; we actually go way back,” remarked Kelly, who is married to NFL player Matthew Stafford. “My brother [Chad Hall] was teammates with Jason at the Eagles, so we got to know them a bit.”

Hall, now 39, played alongside Jason as a wide receiver and return specialist for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2011 to 2012.

Following Kelly's response, Kuch, who is 30, mentioned how the Kelces “appear to be a fun family,” to which Kelly concurred before quickly redirecting the discussion. “They’re wonderful,” Kelly commented. “I just have a bit more familiarity with them than with the Manning brothers.”

This podcast appearance wasn’t the first time Kelly acknowledged the Kelce family publicly. In November 2024, she attributed some of the success of her podcast, “The Morning After,” to Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift. (Kelly co-hosts the podcast with journalist Hank Winchester.)

While on Jana Kramer’s “Whine Down” podcast, Kelly noted that her Tuesday “Timeout” segments see a surge in listeners due to the romance between Travis and Swift, who is 35.

“The ‘Timeout’ exists thanks to Taylor Swift because she has sparked interest in football among many women,” Kelly explained during that conversation.

Just a month before her chat on “Whine Down,” she and Matthew, 37, dressed up as Swift and Travis for Halloween. Specifically, they referenced their appearance at the U.S. Open in September of that year.

Kelly and Matthew’s four daughters — twins Sawyer and Chandler, aged 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5 — also embraced the theme, dressing as different eras from Swift’s career.

In a candid moment about parenting on the Thursday, August 28, episode of “The Morning After,” Kelly became emotional while discussing challenges with one of her children. “One of my daughters has been quite a struggle for me. Matthew feels the same. She has turned into a little girl I hardly recognize. Right now, I’m trying to handle it gently,” Kelly shared during the episode.

She noted that her child’s difficulties have “carried over” into her sports participation, with her daughter “disrespecting coaches and ignoring instructions, giving attitude and walking away while they are speaking to her.”

Kelly has been together with Matthew since they got married in April 2015, having started their relationship in February 2009. The two college sweethearts originally met at the University of Georgia.
