Corinne Olympios, known for her time on The Bachelor, shared insights regarding the flirtatious dynamic she had with Johnny Bananas.
During her appearance on the mini-series "Infamous" from the "Almost Famous" podcast on Friday, June 27, Olympios, aged 33, was questioned by hosts Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins about her previous friendship with John Devenanzio, who is better known as Johnny Bananas.
The hosts reminisced about a flirty phase between Olympios and the 43-year-old Devenanzio back in 2023, while they were filming the first season of the reality show.
"I’ll share everything right now," Olympios started. "I was single when I met Johnny Bananas, and we had this constant flirting going on. He was reluctant to kiss on camera, and I later discovered it was due to Moriah [Jadea]... She was clearly anxious about my presence because it was clear to everyone that Johnny and I had a connection."
Olympios went on, "We engaged in this back-and-forth game the entire time, and after the show, we casually started seeing each other. Eventually, we became just friends."
The reality TV personality mentioned that she has been in a relationship with her current boyfriend, named David, for two years, having met him during a trip to the Bahamas. "He’s honestly wonderful," she stated and then reflected on her romantic experiences.
"I must admit, it has become somewhat of a joke within my family since my relationship history isn't the best," Olympios revealed. "Initially, many of these guys claim, 'I’m crazy about you, I love you.' They approach my dad, saying they'll marry me, we move in together, and then everything just seems to unravel."
While Olympios appears to have discovered true love, Devenanzio is now single after ending his relationship with Morgan Willett in 2021, after dating for over two years following their meeting on The Challenge: War of the Worlds.
Devenanzio recently attracted media attention for unexpected reasons when it was reported that he was involved in a golf cart accident with NFL legend John Elway, which resulted in the death of his agent, Jeff Sperbeck, in May.
Footage from the tragic incident was initially shared and later removed by Devenanzio. TMZ was the first to report that Devenanzio was in the golf cart and tried to perform CPR on Sperbeck after the accident.
As per the outlet, Sperbeck and Bananas were “standing on the back of the cart as Elway drove with his wife seated in the front."
Two weeks after the incident, a cause of death was determined, revealing that Sperbeck, aged 62, succumbed to “blunt head trauma” from the accident.
