Trina McGee Weighs In on Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward’s ‘Boy Meets World’ Feud

Trina McGee, known for her role in Boy Meets World, shared her thoughts on the ongoing exchange between former co-stars Danielle Fishel and Maitland Ward.

At 55 years old, McGee, who portrayed Angela Moore from 1997 to 2000 and returned to the character in a 2015 appearance on Girl Meets World, posted three TikTok videos on Tuesday, February 25. Each video featured audio clips of Fishel, 43, and Ward, 48, as they engaged in a heated discussion during the February 24 episode of the “Pod Meets World” podcast, hosted by Fishel along with former Boy Meets World cast members Rider Strong and Will Friedle.

In the first video, McGee was seen at a white piano, gently moving her phone to capture different angles and showcase her playful expression. An hour after that, she shared a second clip wherein she sat on a step, dramatically letting out a sigh that matched one part of the audio.

The final video presented McGee in a strapless red dress, seated in a studio behind a microphone as crew members prepared the surrounding set. At the beginning of this video, she could be seen giggling before playfully pouting at the camera. The latter part of the video showed her slowly sipping tea while maintaining a blank expression, with the camera focused on her face. Viewers expressed their enjoyment in the comments, with one remarking, “Enjoying the tea while drinking literal tea! You’re amazing!” and another stating, “In Trina we trust.”

These TikTok posts were shared just before McGee made an announcement on Instagram, revealing plans to launch her own podcast, titled “Back to the 90s.” In a detailed post on her social media, she explained, “This is more than just a show; it’s a celebration of everything we loved about that iconic decade. From the unforgettable music that got us dancing to the classic sitcoms that made us laugh until we cried, we’re diving into all the magic that made the 90s so special.”

McGee’s followers quickly reacted to the podcast announcement, including Fishel, who played Topanga Lawrence on Boy Meets World. Fishel commented, “Congratulations! Excited to check this out!”

On the latest episode of the “Pod Meets World” podcast, Fishel and Ward, who portrayed Rachel McGuire in the series, reignited their long-standing feud. The tension escalated when Fishel asked Ward, “Do you hate us?” to which Ward replied, “No, I do not hate you. I think that you hate me because you wouldn’t speak to me on Girl Meets World and that was hurtful.”

Fishel seemed taken aback by the allegation, subsequently asserting that she had indeed communicated with Ward. This led to further conflict between them regarding an unseen Facebook post from Ward that celebrated Fishel's engagement to her now former spouse, Tim Belusko. Additionally, Ward implied that the hosts of the podcast desired their dispute to escalate publicly to enhance viewership, along with various other previously interpreted accounts of events.
