Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are making their red carpet debut as a couple!
The 57-year-old Australian actor attended the world premiere of his latest film, Song Sung Blue, accompanied by his girlfriend. This event marked the conclusion of the annual AFI Fest, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, October 26.
Dressed in a classic black tuxedo, Jackman was joined by Foster, who, at 50, radiated elegance in a full-length black satin gown featuring spaghetti straps.
The pair appeared joyful as they wrapped their arms around each other for photographs.
Jackman also took the opportunity to pose with his Song Sung Blue co-star, Kate Hudson, who dazzled in a silky burnt orange gown. In this film, Jackman and Hudson portray Mike and Claire Sardina, a real-life married couple who created the Neil Diamond tribute band Lightning & Thunder.
Rumors of Jackman and Foster's romance began circulating in January when they were seen holding hands during a casual date night in Los Angeles. Additionally, they were captured sharing a kiss while waiting in the drive-thru at an In-N-Out Burger in San Fernando, California.
In February, a source revealed to Us Weekly that the couple is "madly in love" and feels "relieved and happy" to be seen together publicly after their respective breakups.
"They aren’t officially living together, but they are spending a considerable amount of time together," the source shared.
Foster initiated divorce proceedings from her spouse, Ted Griffin, in October 2024, after almost ten years of marriage. They have an adopted daughter, aged 8, whom they welcomed in 2017.
On the other hand, Jackman and his former wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, announced their split in September 2023, after nearly 27 years together.
“We have been blessed to spend nearly three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving relationship. Our journey is evolving, and we have chosen to separate in order to pursue personal growth,” the couple stated in a joint announcement.
“Our family has always been, and will remain, our top priority. We approach this next phase with gratitude, love, and kindness. We appreciate your support in respecting our privacy as we navigate this change in our lives,” they added in the statement.
By November 2024, a source informed Us Weekly that "Sutton and Hugh's relationship was the reason behind Hugh and Deb's divorce. Many individuals in Broadway were aware, and we maintained discretion because both are wonderful people. Everyone respected their privacy. However, there was an affair and some overlap."
In May, Furness, 69, spoke out regarding her separation from the Wolverine star after filing for divorce. (The former couple share two adopted children, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20.)
"My heart and compassion extend to everyone who has faced the painful experience of betrayal," Furness expressed in a statement to the Daily Mail.
“It’s an intense hurt that penetrates profoundly; nevertheless, I have faith in a higher power and that God or the universe, depending on what resonates with you as your source of guidance, is consistently working in our favor,” Furness went on. “This conviction has assisted me in dealing with the collapse of a nearly thirty-year-long marriage. I have acquired considerable insight and understanding from this journey. Even in the face of what seems like significant challenges, it is guiding us towards our utmost benefit and our genuine purpose.”
