On Sunday, October 19, Victoria Beckham took to her Instagram Stories to showcase a collection of videos featuring her husband David, 50, as he prepared a traditional “Sunday roast” for their extended family in their kitchen.

“Do you need any assistance in the kitchen?” Victoria, 51, could be heard asking David, who halted briefly and replied, “From who?” before delivering a humorously straightforward response.

“Absolutely not. Stay away,” the former football player told her, which elicited a look of surprise from the fashion icon. “What do you mean, just stay away? I’m ready to help,” she offered, clearly entertained by their candid exchange.

“Well, we are not making a ham and cheese toastie,” David explained as he continued with tasks that included prepping chicken for roasting and whipping up the classic British dish of Yorkshire pudding. He added, “We love you.”

Victoria commented on their back-and-forth with, “I won’t take it personally!”

As Victoria continued to check on her husband, whom she wed in 1999 after a two-year courtship, her phone also captured the former athlete pouring glasses of tequila.

“Down the hatch, David,” Victoria stated before inquiring about the number of drinks he had consumed throughout the cooking session. “Eight,” David replied while pulling out a bubbling dish of cauliflower and cheese.

“That’s impressive. You’re my hero … [you’re doing] the finishing touches while I can’t even put together a cheese and ham sandwich. You’ve prepared a full Sunday dinner for our visiting family. I love you,” Victoria said as David’s meal was finally ready.

A concluding Instagram Story from Victoria displayed a complete dining table filled with guests alongside one of the couple’s children, daughter Harper. (David and Victoria are parents to four children: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.)

This playful interaction follows the revelation of David’s notable cooking abilities in September. In a video shared by his wife on September 7, David was seen making jam. “So, we’ve had a weekend of cooking,” she narrated in the clip. “Well, you have. I’ve just been watching. You’ve been making a lot of jam with the plums from our garden.”

David humorously noted that the name of his jam, “David Beckjam,” was “original,” before Victoria inquired about the number of jars produced. “Look, he’s even pulled out his little label machine,” she playfully remarked as David rummaged through a cooler and retrieved more jars. “David Beckjam 1, 2 [and] we have a whole … lot. I love you! You’re quite the entrepreneur.”

A little more than two weeks after the jam video was shared, Brooklyn publicly addressed the ongoing family tensions for the first time. During an event at the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star Match on September 24, Brooklyn told the Daily Mail that “everyone is always going to say rubbish,” before shifting the conversation back to the golf day.

According to reports, the Beckham family has been experiencing a rift since they celebrated David's milestone 50th birthday in May. Brooklyn and his spouse, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, were absent from the celebrations, and Us Weekly has indicated that the couple was deliberately steering clear of any contact with Romeo's then-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, in the aftermath.
