Walton Goggins is welcoming his surge in popularity, even though Pete Davidson has hinted that audiences may eventually lose interest in him.

On Sunday, September 28, Goggins, age 53, took to Instagram to share an article from the Hollywood Reporter that quoted Davidson, age 31, discussing Goggins' recent rise to fame. The piece, released on Friday, September 26, covered Davidson's appearance on Theo Von’s podcast, "This Past Weekend," where he talked about Pedro Pascal’s rapid ascent in the industry before mentioning Goggins.

"Check out Pedro Pascal right now. Just two years back, he was a dedicated and talented actor... then he just exploded into the spotlight," Davidson explained to the publication. "And just a year later, he's everywhere... and then people are saying, 'Just go away already.' They’re going to treat Walton Goggins the same way; he’s next."

Goggins shared a screenshot of the Hollywood Reporter article on Instagram, along with several images showcasing his travels across the globe, paired with an extensive caption. "I came across this article and felt compelled to reply. (Pete was reflecting on his own journey)," Goggins stated. "Pete, we haven’t met, but I appreciate the warning."

He expressed agreement with Davidson on one point—how "wonderful" Pascal, who is 50, is—and acknowledged the fame he has experienced following his roles in popular TV shows like The White Lotus and The Righteous Gemstones. "As someone at 53, I'm very aware that all experiences have a limited lifespan. I’m grateful to many of you for joining me on this journey. I can imagine that quite a few of you (and I completely understand) are worn out from my speeches. Believe me, I’m tired of delivering them," he noted.

Goggins also urged his followers to consider “not” clicking on anything associated with his name, although if they did, he would appreciate the support. "Being part of this headline isn’t a misfortune; it’s a privilege. How fortunate am I that such a thing is even an option?!!” he wrote. “Much more than a young boy from Georgia could ever dare to dream. I wouldn't change a single moment."

The actor wrapped up his message with, “If saying yes to life more than saying no is a wrongdoing, then I accept my guilt. And if being part of this headline is a possibility or an inevitability… if this is my destiny… Well… forget it. I'm going to relish every moment of it.”

In the comments of his post, Goggins reiterated his positive outlook on fame by simply writing, “Love you,” which garnered over 2,500 likes. He also replied to a fan of the TV series Fallout, in which he also featured, who expressed her happiness about his role in the first season. “I promise we’ll not disappoint you,” Goggins responded.

His co-star from The White Lotus season 3, Patrick Schwarzenegger, also left an uplifting message on the post. “Keep pushing forward, brother ❤️,” Schwarzenegger commented.

Regarding Pascal, whom Goggins referred to as a “beloved friend of mine,” Goggins additionally mentioned in the comments that both he and the Eddington performer will “continue to be present, I assure you.”
