Grimes is revealing more details about her son X Æ A-Xii’s recent visit to the Oval Office.
The 4-year-old X joined his father, Elon Musk, 53, for a press conference related to the administration of President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency on February 11. Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, was surprised to learn about her son’s notable visit through social media.

“He should not be in the public eye like this. I wasn’t aware of this; thank you for notifying me. However, I’m pleased he was well-mannered. Sigh,” Grimes responded on X when a user mentioned how “polite” her son was during the event.

In an interview published by Time on Monday, February 24, Grimes further explained her feelings, stating, “It was being framed as ‘Grimes slams,’ ‘Grimes speaks out.’ It’s just, okay, it was a reply.”

“But I really wish people would refrain from posting pictures of my child everywhere. I believe that fame is something one should consent to. Obviously, things will unfold as they do. But I would really appreciate it. I can only ask, so I am just asking,” she added.

Grimes, 36, and Musk separated in 2022, yet they share three children: X, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2.

The artist had previously expressed disapproval regarding her ex-partner taking X to a New Year’s Eve event at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, according to The Cut. “I have made it clear that I do not agree with that in every possible way I know,” she wrote in January. “I am eager to resolve this. It is a personal tragedy for me. But at this moment, I don’t know how to proceed.”

Grimes recently voiced concerns when she publicly urged Musk to address a “medical crisis” involving one of their children.

“I regret having to bring this up publicly, but it can no longer be ignored,” Grimes (whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher) posted on X on Thursday, February 20, as per Page Six. “This needs urgent attention. If you don’t wish to communicate with me, could you please appoint or hire someone who can help us move forward in resolving this? This is urgent, Elon.”

Along with his three children with Grimes, Musk has other children with various women.

Earlier this month, author Ashley St. Clair claimed she gave birth to a baby with Musk five months ago, making it his 13th child.
