The celebration took place while Kelce was on a break from his active NFL schedule. The Kansas City Chiefs are currently on a bye week and are set to resume play on Sunday, October 18, when they face the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.

A Meaningful Location for the Couple

New York City holds substantial significance in the couple's relationship history. Swift and Kelce were married at Madison Square Garden on July 3 in front of a celebrity guest list. Digital billboards surrounding the venue displayed the phrase "JUST MARRIED" during the event.

Kelce later addressed the wedding during a press conference at the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp on August 12, referring to the event as a "fun offseason" moment.

During the same media session, the Chiefs player spoke about the personal importance of holding their wedding at the iconic venue.

"MSG, man, I always told myself I’d go for a playoff game when the [New York] Knicks were rocking, and my wife went when I was stuck in minicamp," Kelce explained. "I didn’t get the opportunity to go then, so it’s kind of cool to get to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married in there."

Prior to the birthday dinner on Monday, Swift did not attend the Kansas City Chiefs' road game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, October 4, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. The Chiefs won that game 30 to 27.

Swift remained in New York City over the weekend, where she made an appearance on Saturday Night Live alongside actor Dakota Johnson on Saturday night. During the broadcast, Swift appeared during Johnson's opening monologue and later presented her with a birthday cake during the show's closing segment. Johnson, the star of Verity, turned 37 on Sunday, October 4.
