The Hollywood best friends were seen enjoying a meal together in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 31, accompanied by Damon’s spouse, Luciana Barroso.
Images acquired by the Daily Mail and People show the trio sharing a warm moment outside the Beverly Hills steakhouse, Steak 48.
Affleck, 52, wore a black leather jacket, a black shirt, and blue jeans. Damon, 54, opted for a relaxed look in a short-sleeved white shirt paired with khaki trousers. Luciana, 48, showcased sophistication in a tan pantsuit. The three were captured outside the dining venue, with Affleck embracing both his long-time friend and Damon’s wife, to whom Damon has been wed for almost two decades. They share three daughters, Isabella, 18, Gia, 16, and Stella, 14. Additionally, Damon is stepfather to Luciana’s 26-year-old daughter, Alexia, from a prior relationship.
The uncomplicated dinner outing on Saturday evening occurred shortly after Affleck and Damon made an appearance at Netflix’s Tudum live event, promoting their upcoming film together, The Rip, which is scheduled for release on the streaming platform in January 2026.
The actors engaged in lighthearted banter while on stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, with Affleck humorously commenting on his friend's lengthy gray beard. (Damon appears to have cultivated his facial hair for his leading role in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.)
“I was counting on Matt to shave the beard before Tudum… and here we are,” Affleck jested during the event. The Good Will Hunting co-stars are set to reunite on screen two years after their most recent acting collaboration, 2023’s Air.
Affleck recently finalized his divorce from his long-term partner Jennifer Lopez, 55, earlier this year, with Lopez having filed for divorce in August 2024.
The history between Lopez and Affleck spans over two decades. They first met while filming Gigli in 2001 and became engaged in November 2002. They were set to marry in September 2003 but called off the wedding just days before the event and confirmed their separation in January 2004.
The pair reconnected in May 2021 and got engaged once more in April 2022, marrying in Las Vegas that July, followed by a further ceremony in Georgia the following month.
Lopez recently shared how she informed her twins, Emme and Max, 17, about her divorce from Affleck.
“I told them, ‘I promise you this is a challenging time, but you will see that I will emerge stronger and better on the other side.’ I made that promise and fulfilled it,” the actress and singer stated in an interview with El País published on May 7. “They can sense it now, which gives me a profound sense of peace in my life.”
“I had an incredibly challenging year. Things occurred that were unexpected. So, I immersed myself in reading, engaged in self-reflection, practiced meditation, and prayed extensively. I aimed to enhance my relationship with God. I wanted to really solidify the family unit that comprises me and my twin children,” Lopez elaborated.
