Arnold Schwarzenegger attended the premiere of his Netflix series FUBAR alongside his four children and Chris Pratt.
The 77-year-old, beaming as he walked the red carpet in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 11, was joined by his sons Patrick, 31, and Christopher, 27, as well as daughters Katherine, 35, and Christina, 33, all of whom he shares with ex-wife Maria Shriver. Also accompanying them was Katherine's husband, Pratt, who is 45.
The second season of FUBAR debuts on Thursday, June 12. In this series, Arnold portrays CIA agent Luke Brunner, with Monica Barbaro, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Gabriel Luna also featuring in pivotal roles.
Since his rise to fame in the 1980s, the star of The Terminator, who was once the governor of California, has seen his children pursue careers in the public eye. Katherine has authored self-help and children's books; Christina works as a producer, while Patrick, an actor and model, recently appeared in The White Lotus. Additionally, Arnold has a fifth child, Joseph Baena, born to the family's former housekeeper Mildred “Patty” Baena. This relationship led Shriver, 69, to file for divorce from Arnold in July 2011, after 25 years of marriage.
Earlier this month, during their Variety Actors on Actors interview, Arnold and Patrick talked about the notable nude scene Patrick had in the premiere of The White Lotus season 3. “I couldn’t believe [it],” Arnold commented regarding his son's daring scene. “I thought to myself, ‘I'm watching your show, and I see your backside out there.’ And then, all of a sudden, I catch a glimpse of the front. I thought, ‘What is happening here? This is wild.’”
However, Arnold recognized that his reaction was contradictory, given that he has filmed nudity scenes himself throughout his career. “Then I reminded myself, ‘Well, Arnold, come on. You’ve done the same in Conan [the Barbarian] and Terminator, so don’t complain about it,’” he relayed to Patrick. “But it was surprising to me how closely you were following in my footsteps.”
Patrick took on the role of Saxon Ratliff in the controversial series, which debuted in February. Beyond his nude scenes, Saxon also generated buzz for shocking moments that involved incestuous themes with his brother, Lochlan (Sam Nivola).
“Now people are approaching me in the gym, saying, ‘Your son is incredible,’” Arnold shared. “Someone else came up and mentioned, ‘I hated your son in the series.’ I joked back, ‘Hated him? What sort of compliment is that?’ They clarified, ‘He was fantastic, but the character he played felt so real.’”
