Rihanna had absolutely no time for a social media critic who publicly insulted the names of her sons, Riot and RZA.
The Fenty mogul, 37, clapped back after an Instagram user derided the boys’ monikers in a comment on a post by The Shade Room about throwback baby pics Rihanna had shared. “I hate their names so bad,” the commenter wrote.
Rihanna, however, was unbothered, replying with a seeming dig at the person’s username. “Ok tatiana,” she replied.
The “Work” singer and partner ASAP Rocky welcomed RZA, 2, and Riot, 19 months, in May 2022 and August 2023, respectively. She recently shared pics of the boys as newborns in an Instagram post in honor of International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8.
“By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay,” she wrote alongside photos of herself in a hospital bed after delivering each of her sons.
She also acknowledged that her choice of outfit — multiple necklaces and pink shades — was somewhat unusual for the maternity ward.
“And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening,” she quipped in her caption.
Rihanna recently supported Rocky, 36, as he was on trial in Los Angeles for an alleged 2021 shooting incident. He was charged with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon for allegedly firing shots at his childhood friend Terell Ephron in 2021 and faced up to 24 years in prison. He was found not guilty on February 18 and was filmed leaping into Rihanna’s arms upon hearing the verdict.
In December 2024, the rapper gushed about his relationship with Rihanna in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
“I think that when you’re in love with somebody, you have to sacrifice time for people and stuff like that — make time,” he said at the 38th Annual Footwear Achievement Awards. “Some people are fortunate enough to make more time, and some people are fortunate enough to work together and travel together.”
Rihanna has previously praised her partner’s willingness to get down and dirty as a dad, noting that he’s not afraid to change a smelly diaper.
