Aaron Goodwin, known for his role on Ghost Adventures, has expressed his gratitude for the support he has received from the public during his ongoing divorce from estranged spouse Victoria Goodwin.
On Saturday, March 22, the 48-year-old television personality took to Instagram to thank his followers, sharing a photo featuring a smiling emoji with open arms. "I truly appreciate everyone for the love and support during this emotionally challenging period. It has made a significant difference, and I am thankful for you all," Aaron stated.
Fans continued to show their encouragement for Aaron in the comments section. "It might sound strange coming from people you don't know, but we really care for you! Keep your head up," one supporter commented, while another wished to send “positive healing energy” his way. Additional comments noted relief that Aaron was safe.
This Instagram post was Aaron’s first statement following Victoria’s arrest, which involved charges of soliciting murder and conspiring to commit murder. Police records obtained by Us Weekly earlier this month indicated that Victoria had been in contact with convicted murderer Grant Amato, who is currently serving a life sentence in Florida for the murders of his family. Allegations suggest that Victoria began corresponding with Amato in March 2024 after viewing the documentary Ctrl + Alt + Desire, covering his case.
Victoria reportedly transitioned from writing letters to texting Amato, allegedly discussing their feelings for each other. In one of the claimed messages, she mentioned contemplating leaving her marriage to Aaron, questioning, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
Additionally, it is alleged that Victoria set aside $11,515 to pay Amato, and discussions occurred concerning an initial $2,500 payment. Corrections officers purportedly discovered Amato’s phone in prison, where they uncovered Victoria’s alleged murder conspiracy, though she claimed a lack of memory regarding her messages. She did acknowledge facing difficulties in her marriage when questioned by law enforcement. She is being held on a $100,000 bail.
Aaron and Victoria were married in 2020. Us reported on March 13 that Aaron had initiated divorce proceedings in Clark County, Nevada, requesting to keep his separate assets while advocating for an equitable division of their shared property. He sought reimbursement for the community assets and asked for his single status to be reinstated.
Shortly thereafter, Aaron revised his divorce petition, levying accusations against Victoria for negligence, false imprisonment, and more. According to the petition dated March 19, which Us has obtained exclusively, Aaron is pursuing over $10,000 in punitive and exemplary damages.
"[Victoria's] actions were extreme or outrageous, either intentionally or with reckless disregard, causing emotional distress to [Aaron]," the court documents indicate. "[He] experienced severe or extreme emotional distress as a direct or indirect consequence of [her] actions."
Aaron further accused Victoria of assault and false imprisonment, claiming she induced feelings of anxiety over harmful or offensive actions. He contended that his estranged wife aimed to "confine [him] within limits," with the petition noting that "[Aaron] was aware of the confinement or suffered harm from it."
Victoria has not spoken out publicly regarding the allegations. The announcement of the divorce took Aaron’s Ghost Adventures colleagues, Zak Bagans, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley, by surprise.
“A source exclusively informed Us earlier this month that nobody was aware of any issues in their relationship,” noting that the cast and crew are “making an effort to support Aaron by reaching out and offering assistance in whatever ways possible.”
