Paige DeSorbo Is Freezing Her Eggs as ‘Security’ Following Split From Craig Conover

Speaking openly about her health choices during the Tuesday, January 28, episode of her podcast, “Giggly Squad,” which she cohosts with Hannah Berner, DeSorbo, 32, shared her current status in the process.

“On Monday, I'm going for my first consultation… to freeze my eggs,” DeSorbo mentioned, further explaining that she “had wanted to do this… last year, likely in the spring.” (While it remains uncertain when DeSorbo and Conover, 35, officially ended their relationship, DeSorbo made their breakup public during the December 30 episode of her podcast.)

DeSorbo recounted that she intended to schedule her initial medical appointment towards the end of the previous year. “I was thinking, OK, in 2025, I’m freezing my eggs, and I had it noted on my to-do list because… I’m just planning to take it easy in January and I have various things I intended to accomplish this month.”

The television personality mentioned she has identified “the start of March” to initiate the procedure, clinically known as oocyte cryopreservation, which Healthline describes as a method that involves “medications to promote egg growth” before they are subsequently “extracted from the ovaries and frozen for preservation.”

“The only challenge is that I need to select two weeks when I will be in town because I must administer the injections at the same time each night,” DeSorbo stated.

DeSorbo and Conover were in a relationship for three years before their separation, with DeSorbo explaining during her announcement in December, “Craig and I have decided to part ways. I have affection for him, and I believe he feels the same. I think we can stay friends. No one is at fault. It wasn’t a negative experience.”

“When I initially resolved to freeze my eggs, it wasn’t a reaction to career pressures; I genuinely thought that by 32, I would be a mother,” DeSorbo articulated. “Yet, there was always a thought in my mind, what if I reach 39 or 40 and I think, wait, I want another child.”

She added, “Now, my perspective has shifted; I need it as a form of reassurance… but it is also providing some ease, knowing that I am taking this step.”

DeSorbo mentioned that in preparation for the procedure, she has ceased “smoking weed” and, as a result, has never felt “more enjoyment in life.”
