The 45-year-old powerhouse took home the trophy for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play for her breathtaking portrayal of Mother in the Ragtime revival. Standing before the star-studded crowd, Levy got emotional while balancing her real-life matriarch duties with her onstage persona. She openly admitted to missing her kids' bedtimes due to her grueling theater schedule, making her tribute to her support team even more poignant.
Balancing Broadway and Bedtime: The Toll of the Stage
"Thank you to every babysitter who’s made it possible for me to be both a Broadway actor and a mother," Levy declared during her speech.
The mom-of-two also sent a sweet message to her kids, 10-year-old Izaiah and 5-year-old Talulah, who were back home. Acknowledging the sacrifice of missing nightly tuck-ins, she assured them that a piece of her heart always stays behind with them.
The Canadian-born actress didn't forget her inner circle either. She showered love on her parents and her husband, composer-writer David Reiser, shouting him out from the stage. While Ragtime has been a massive triumph since it opened in October 2025, Levy previously had to make some tough calls to keep her family afloat.
In fact, she recently opened up about walking away from the highly anticipated Lost Boys musical last November because her kids had a rough start to the school year and desperately needed her around. For Levy, navigating the intense theater grind is only possible because of the nannies and former students who step in as "little sisters" to help raise her kids backstage.
