In response to Jennifer Lawrence’s assertion that she once served him food she had found in her trash, the 39-year-old actor shared his thoughts on the meal during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Saturday, November 1, which was published the next day.

“I thought it was really tasty,” Pattinson, who stars alongside the 35-year-old Lawrence in the upcoming film Die, My Love, conveyed to the outlet at the film’s premiere held at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City. “She must have a very impressive trash collection.”

Lawrence recounted during her October 17 appearance on The Graham Norton Show that she had offered Pattinson something to eat after inviting him over one night. “He arrives, and I hug him, and he asks, ‘Do you have any food? I'm starving,’ [then] he goes to the restroom, and I actually had food, but it was in the trash,” shared the Hunger Games actress. “While he was in the bathroom, I started pulling food out of my garbage can.”

She mentioned that he enjoyed the food so much that he asked for additional helpings. It was at that point that she disclosed the source of the food—something that did not seem to bother him. “He was like, ‘Oh, I don’t care,’ and he just continued eating it after pulling it out of the trash,” Lawrence remembered, noting that her friends who were present just watched him eat from the garbage.

At the New York premiere of their movie, Pattinson expressed his enthusiasm about collaborating with Lawrence. “I’ve always been a huge admirer of hers. I didn’t expect it would be so effortless to be friendly and to work alongside her,” he shared on the red carpet with the outlet. “She’s incredibly talented, so humble … it’s quite remarkable; she is such a natural performer.”

In a rare appearance on the red carpet, Pattinson was joined by his fiancée, Suki Waterhouse, who stood beside him in a floral gown designed by Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen, complemented with a green tweed skirt. She enhanced her look with a glamorous choker necklace featuring an elaborate brooch.

For his part, the Mickey 17 star looked equally stylish, opting for a black-and-white ensemble from Dior Men that included a suit, vest, fringed scarf, and woven sandals.

Die, My Love is scheduled for release on Friday, November 7, and tells the story of a writer named Grace, portrayed by Lawrence, who experiences psychosis and postpartum depression after the birth of her first child. The narrative, based on a 2012 Spanish novel by Ariana Harwicz, also follows Grace’s husband, Jackson, played by Pattinson, as he learns to cope with his transformed wife.

During her guest appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Lawrence expressed her affection for her co-star by likening him to several cherished individuals. “Rob is like one of the girls. He enjoys chatting,” she stated, adding, “He also resembles my daughter. He’s a wonderful dad, very professional, always punctual, but I wouldn’t rely on him to, you know, put on a jacket. He brings out a nurturing side in me.”

Pattinson has a daughter, 19 months old, whose name has not been disclosed, with Waterhouse, who is 33 years old. On the other hand, Lawrence is the mother of two boys, Cy, aged 3, and another child, 6 months old, whose name is also yet to be revealed, whom she shares with her husband, Cooke Maroney.
