MTV reality star Tony Raines, widely recognized for his appearances on The Challenge, was taken into custody in the early hours of Sunday, February 23, for driving under the influence, as reported by TMZ.

At 36 years old, Raines faces charges that include one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, one count of reckless driving, and four counts of negligent injury, according to the outlet.

Public records indicate that Charles Anthony Raines (his full name) was arrested at 3 a.m. local time on Sunday by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana. He was released later that day around 9 p.m. (TMZ mentioned that Raines was held on a bond of $7,500.)

According to IMDb, Raines first gained fame on MTV’s Real World: Skeletons in 2015, later competing on The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros in 2018, The Challenge: All Stars season 4 in 2024, and The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras, which started airing last year and wrapped up in January.

In October 2023, Raines wed his longtime partner, Alyssa Giacone, in a small ceremony held in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. The couple has an 8-year-old daughter, Isla. Raines is also the father of a 9-year-old daughter named Harper, whom he shares with his former partner and fellow Challenge star Madison Walls-Channing.

“There are countless things I adore about her,” Raines shared with People before their wedding. “From her appearance to her excellence as a mother and her thoughtful care for me, but the most significant aspect is the comforting knowledge that she supports me through all things. Having a partner who truly has my back and my best interests in mind means everything.”

Giacone expressed, “For me, this feels like a fairy tale! I’ve essentially been waiting for this moment since high school! Planning has been super relaxed, which has improved the experience, and I’m just eager for the big day to arrive.”

Recently, Raines celebrated Valentine’s Day by posting a heartfelt photo of him and Giacone sharing a kiss in front of a sunset. “Twenty years ago, Cupid struck me, and that arrow is still stuck in there 💘 I love you, Beautiful. Happy Valentine’s Day 🤍❤️,” he captioned the image on Instagram, tagging Giacone.
