As Central Texas endures continuous devastation caused by flash floods, various celebrities are utilizing their platforms to raise awareness and motivate support.

On Saturday, July 5, Shakira contributed the proceeds from her concert to the Catholic Charities of San Antonio for subsequent relief efforts. Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner, Khloé Kardashian, Matthew McConaughey, and other celebrities took to social media to promote similar acts of generosity.

Following President Donald Trump’s declaration of a state of emergency for Kerr County on Sunday, July 6, the floods initiated in the early morning hours of Friday, July 4, as waters surged through Texas Hill Country, causing the Guadalupe River to rise by 26 feet within a mere 45 minutes.

As of late Sunday, over 82 individuals had lost their lives due to this severe weather incident, including at least 28 children specifically in Kerr County, where tragedy struck at a Christian summer camp resulting in a series of youth fatalities. Among the deceased from Camp Mystic was a nine-year-old cousin of Clark Hunt, one of the owners of the Kansas City Chiefs. Tavia Hunt, Clark's wife, addressed the tragic news in an Instagram Story shared on Sunday evening.

The loss of those precious, innocent children is something I cannot fully comprehend; there are simply no appropriate words for this.”

Kardashian went on to say, “My heart feels an intense pain for every parent, every family member, and every community affected.
