Jennifer Lopez is set to reunite with her Selena movie costar Edward James Olmos in an upcoming Netflix film.
“From ‘Selena’ to now, this journey has come full circle…SWIPE to see the big news. We’re thrilled to welcome the incredible Edward James Olmos to ‘Office Romance!’” Lopez, 55, wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday, March 27.
The caption was accompanied by a throwback photo and a more recent snap of Lopez and Olmos.
Olmos, 78, will play Lopez’s character’s father in Office Romance, a romantic comedy written by Ted Lasso creators Brett Goldstein and Joe Kelly. Lopez will serve as a producer on the film, Deadline reported in September 2024.
Office Romance will mark the second time Olmos and Lopez have played a father-daughter duo. Olmos also played Lopez’s dad in Selena, a 1997 biopic about Tejano music star Selena Quintanilla-Pérez.
“Edward James Olmos will play Jennifer Lopez’s father (again!) in OFFICE ROMANCE, her new movie with Brett Goldstein,” Netflix wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday.
Lopez gave a behind-the-scenes look at the film in an Instagram reel shared on Saturday, March 22.
The clip began with two members of the production team speaking to the camera: “Rolling… Hey, can you watch our boss for a second?”
They placed the camera in front of Lopez, who appeared momentarily confused.
